The Code of Canon defines a Episcopal Council of a Diocese as: A group of priests who represent the presbyterium and who are to be, as it were, the Bishop’s senate. The Council’s role is to assist the Bishop, in accordance with the law, in the governance of the diocese, so that the pastoral welfare of that portion of the people of God entrusted to the Bishop may be effectively promoted (Canon495). The Council’s role is to assist the Bishop in a consultative capacity.

Presbyteral Council

In accordance with the Code of Canon Law a Presbyteral Council is to be established in each diocese. The Presbyteral Council is a group of priests which, representing the presbyterium, is to be like a senate of the bishop and which assists the bishop in the governance of the diocese according to the norm of law to promote as much as possible the pastoral good of the portion of the people of God entrusted to him.

Eccelesiastical Marimonial Tribunal

The Ecclesiastical Matrimonial Tribunal serves the archdiocese by handling matters related to marriage within the Church. This tribunal provides a formal process for the evaluation and resolution of marriage cases, including annulments, in accordance with Canon Law. It ensures that every case is approached with pastoral care, fairness, and respect for Church teachings, offering support to individuals seeking clarity and healing in their marital lives.
